2021 - Reflections.

In a Covid world, country travel policies are ever evolving with short notice. Living in a country with a volatile travel policy that may be motivated by reasons beyond public health, resilience and thinking on your feet are the key to navigate through unexpected changes during moments of crisis. Think of it as a personal Amazing Race with higher personals stakes.  To all travelers out there: Strive to get the most updated information (Google search often turns up outdated information). Expat social media groups and twitter are great sources.  Leverage airline free cancellation policies to prove your return tickets. Always know what your passport's usual visa free countries are, and how that list looks like during the pandemic. It is inevitable that one feels low facing roadblock after roadblock.
